The lost gases from the flame are carried up ward in the secondary flue passage, Over the conviction fins which are welded the full length of the pressure vessel. These fins transmit heat on to the outer side of the pressure vessel. The flly 2 –pass operation results in overall even heater (Boiling) of the water.
